The long-term goal of European fusion research, embracing all the fusion activities in the Member States and associated third countries, is the joint creation, in approximately thirty or thirty-five years and subject to technological and scientific progress, of prototype reactors for power stations which meet these requirements, and are economically viable.
Das langfristige Ziel der europäischen Fusionsforschung, die alle Maßnahmen der Mitgliedstaaten und der assoziierten Drittländer im Bereich der Kernfusion umfasst, besteht darin, in etwa 30-35 Jahren, je nach den in Wissenschaft und Technik erzielten Fortschritten, gemeinsam Prototypreaktoren für Kraftwerke zu bauen, die die genannten Kriterien erfüllen und wirtschaftlich sind.
